14th International Conference on Nonequilibrium

Carrier Dynamics in Semiconductors (HCIS-14)

Chicago, July 24-29, 2005

Change in proceedings publisher - The proceedings of HCIS 14 were originally planned to appear as a volume of the Institute of Physics (IOP) Conference Series.  Since January 2005, IOP has decided to discontinue the series and operations have been passed on to the Springer Proceedings in Physics Series.  Springer has actually wider distribution than IOP and this change translates into even better visibility for the HCIS 14 proceedings.

Submission of manuscripts - Three copies of each manuscript and the Copyright Transfer Agreement should be submitted at the beginning of the conference. Paper will be reviewed and every effort will be made to return the reviewers' reports before the end of the conference.  Authors will then be requested to submit hardcopy and electronic copy (MS Word file) of the final version of the paper.

Page limits - Six pages for invited papers, four pages for contributed papers (oral and poster).  Every effort should be made to stay within such limits to avoid publishing cost overruns.

Downloadable files - Springer requires an electronic version of the papers in Microsoft Word for final publication.  To facilitate preparation, a sample paper has just been provided, which you can use to assemble your paper.  This sample is based on the generic Springer Author Template, which was posted earlier.  Please, do not modify any of the settings and formatting in the sample
