Moving Around in Chicago
The hotel is about one mile south of the Chicago Loop (the
financial district) and two miles south of the shopping
district (the Magnificent Mile, on North Michigan avenue).
Taxi fares from the hotel to both locations are less than $15.
If you want to use the public transportation to downtown, the
McCormick station of the regional train service
METRA is very close to the hotel and has a frequent
schedule. An alternative to the METRA train is the
CTA bus 3 that also brings you to the loop and to the
beginning of the shopping district. The
CTA system (train and bus) is integrated, so all you need
is a CTA card that can be bought and “recharged” at any train
station. The
METRA system requires a different ticket that is sold at
the station during business hours. |
